Who We Are
The DAA Fisheries Training Center (DFTC) is an innovative and creative Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Center established with the state of the art Teaching and Learning Facility to train individuals and groups both in the formal and the informal sector to acquire requisite skills and attitude needed for industry and self- employment.It is fully accredited by the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) under the Act 718 since August 2018. It uses the Competency- Based Training (CBT) model for Teaching and Learning.

Competency-Based Training (CBT) Model
Our teaching approach focuses on equipping learners with practical, real-world skills, knowledge, and attitudes that meet industry demands and promote self-employment.
Programme
The Fisheries Value Chain Practices program equips learners with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in various aspects of the fisheries industry, from production to marketing.
Programme Duration
Based on learner’s ability, competence and experience, an average learner may need 9months to 12 months to compete a full programme.
Certificate awarding body
It currently offers qualifications at National Proficiency I & II on the National Technical and Vocational Qualification Frame work (NTVETQF) and all the Certificates are awarded by Technical Examination Unit under Ghana Education Service.
